The Monster Among Us
During the Marcos Dictatorship in Negros Island, Philippines of 1985, the Magbuelas family and the Dumaan farmers face a brutal threat from the mythical creature called the Amomonggo. It is said to be the culprit behind the series of killings. One day, a corpse was again found having sustained brutal mauling. The community is forced into submission and solitude for their safety while in a non-violent struggle to protect their rights.

After receiving unwanted attention from her school principal for still not having memorized the Philippine patriotic oath, Marie, a young student, is taken from her class and sent to the principal's office. Under the supervision of her school principal, Marie is blindfolded and tasked to recite the Philippine patriotic oath in its entirety. With each mistake she is scolded and asked to repeat the lines until she is finally able to recite perfectly. Driven to the edge by her unrelenting and abusive principal, Marie, a young student, realizes that she finds it difficult to memorize the Philippine patriotic oath because she can't empathize with the lines and instead delivers an oath that is true to what she believes in.
The film Black Market is basically the black market activity as we know it. It’s about a nameless Buyer who approached a stall, entertained by a giddy nameless vendor-pimp, selling Filipina girls as if they are fresh fruits displayed on his fruit stand. But at the end of the one-sided transaction, the Vendor was surprised when the Buyer asked for his price, as if he's one of the girls that are for sale.
Lan Yan (兰言)
The rapid increase in prosperity and the international modernization of Shanghai has been implemented on a mass scale at the expense of lower-income traditional Chinese communities. Mr. Zhang and his daughter, residents of a Shikumen area known as Lan Yan, reflect upon the sense of closeness and community he and his neighbors have experienced for over a century despite their cramped living conditions. What will Pintu do? Will he come to the terms with the ignorance of the society for his family's sacrifice, will he fight back or will he do something that no body ever expected from a 10-year-old boy? It is the story of innocence, determination, courage and growing up of Pintu.
