Irwan is Malaysian and madly in love with Xing, a Chinese cabaret artist who he watches perform on stage every night. Xing, for her part, needs company and takes to his presence as best she can. The film stays close to the lives of the two lovers, casting an intense light, both sensual and incredibly mature, on this impossible love story.
