In the fishing village of Indramayu, RITA (20th) former mask dancer, accustomed to receiving physical abuse from ZOEL (25th), her husband who works as a fisherman. Usually to cover up the sadness, Rita danced to vent her emotions.

On the other hand, Rita is loved by JAROT, a boatman who lives in the same village. Jarot often asks Rita to leave Zoel, especially when Rita is battered in Zoel. Until one day when Rita was hit again for the umpteenth time, Jarot asked Rita to leave Zoel. Even with how dare Jarot usher Rita home. Halfway through, Zoel caught them and beat them both. The residents dragged Jarot away, whipping him while Zoel dragged Rita home and beat him all the way to the house.

Rita could not stand it anymore, when Jarot caught up to Rita's house and hit Zoel's head, Rita strangled Zoel to death. Rita goes out of the house and confesses to the neighbors that Jarot killed Zoel.
