Nona is a girl selling ikat cloth. She lives in a family with her father and mother. Father is a laborer at the port, but occasionally, he helps Mama look for dyes for weaving in the garden. Mama is a traditional weaver. Nona intends to give Mama a birthday gift in the form of a printed fabric which is much cheaper. However, the intention is canceled after he realised that what he does can hurt Mama's heart. He then decides to give her a dress that was sewn from Mama's woven cloth.
