Hayato Iizuka (part-time employee) is one day confronted by his wife, Manami (full-time employee). Manami is pregnant, and one of them has to quit their job. Manami, satisfied with her job, does not want to quit. On the other hand, Hayato is stuck with a job he doesn't like and spends everyday rather bitterly. 

Hayato, concerned about his pride as a man, shows resistance in the beginning; however, he ultimately decides to become a househusband after realising supporting his family from behind the scenes is also a form of paternal strength.
