Our story follows two young competitors of "Malaya"--the 3031st Filipino virtual reality game. Miguel is a boy who ventures for anything that gives him happiness, until he enters the virtual game with Karylle and Carlos. Later, he becomes hungry for victory, even going so far to sacrificing one of his friends for the game.

Karylle, all shakened after the kill, begins to question Miguel. She lashes out on how he doesn't deserve the prize. To which Miguel didn't take lightly, and executes her next.

By the end, he realizes the emptiness of receiving the trophy of "Kalayaan".
