Yan is a twenty-year-old girl working in a restaurant. At home she has to take care of her mum who has contracted terminal cancer. The illness creates tensions in their relationship. One day after work, Yan sneakily tries to buy cigarettes for the first time. She is asked for her ID card. A boy nearby notices and buys the packet of cigarettes for her. This boy teaches Yan to smoke, and they enjoy a smoke-break date in the park.
