Daru (11) is an orphan who lives with his hard-pressed aunt, and he keeps having the same dream: he becomes a tree getting struck by lightning. One day, in the midst of trouble, his teacher assigns him the task of explaining why he constantly draws trees and lightning. Amidst his struggles at school and his relationship with his aunt, Daru discovers the meaning behind his dreams.
