Ping’s father works in a small, old, dirty restaurant. Ping feels sorry for him and he believes he can lead a better life than his father. Ping is deeply devoted to music. He plays in a band and writes songs of his own. However, he does not understand how much his father has done for him.

Not until his father is too sick to work does Ping realize.
