This is a story about “non-typical migrant worker”. He was an Overseas Chinese in the Philippines, and it had been more than 20 years he lived in Taiwan. Now, he is a warden of migrant worker doom that is located in a spinning factory. His name was “Rey” when he lived in Philippines - it was his former name ; he has another name, it’s called “Ray” when Taiwanese call him. 

“I changed my name just to accommodate what English style Taiwanese is familiar with”, he said. Just like his name, the life of him is also divided into two parts: one in the Philippines and another in Taiwan. He finished the identity change between “Rey” and “Ray”.

這是一個『非典型移工的故事』。他是菲律賓華僑，來台灣已經超過20年，現在是一間紡織廠的外勞宿舍管理員。他在菲律賓社群的名字叫Rey，那是他的原名；而在台灣人面前，他叫Ray。他說，改名只是為了遷就台灣人熟悉的英文。如同他的名字，他的人生彷彿也分成了兩半，一半在菲律賓，一半在台灣。在Rey與Ray之間，他完成了他的身分轉換。
