"Lorai" is the story of a woman named Kushum who has been abused at several stages of her life starting from her childhood. When she was an adolescent, she was abused socially by the religious clerics and was forced to get married. Few years later, she has been divorced and got involved in smuggling. While she was abused physically, Kushum thought to herself that if she had someone, a man to save her from such cruelty, things could have been avoided. Sensing so, she married a lame, dumb beggar who pulled her back to the same trap again and sold her. That night Kushum was raped by few persons. Now what would be her fate, what will she do, who will save her? Does she have a better choice than committing suicide?
