The Infinite Sun (Ang Walay Kahumanang Adlaw)

1997 - When cities feel so distant, when borrowing or renting VHS was a thing, when people are listening to mix tapes, and when smartphones never bridge long-distance lovers: a Filipino seafarer is still in love with someone he hasn't seen for four years.

Chester, a Filipino seafarer, remains in love and waits for Madison, the girl he grew up with, after she left for Manila four years ago. He still has high hopes, as big and infinite as the sun, believing they will meet again.
