Gunha

Phase Pardhi or Phasse Pardhi is a tribe in India. They have been considered as criminals by birth since society. In 1952, the tribe was denotified as "criminal" and named as a nomadic tribe However this has not changed the public perception of the tribe, and they continue to be stigmatized and live as outcasts, further aggravating their economic hardships. 

Zingya a school going boy belongs to this community. He and his widow mother are living in poor condition. His mother is selling small ornaments in villages are trying to survive. She wants her son to go to school and should not get involved in theft. 

Zingya wants to buy Sandal for him and he because of poor condition mother tells him to wait until she gets some money. One day he finds that people are selling gum in the village market Which he thinks that easier to do. He collects gums from the forestry and tries to sell in the market. At first people don't allow him to seat next to them because of the stigma he carries. 

Finally he finds place outside of the market and sells his gum. He buys his sandal buy while going back home to show his mother people catches him thinking he might have stolen it from the village. They beat him. His mother arrives there after hearing the chaos and she couldn’t believe that her son has stolen the Sandal. She also beats him thinking he stolen it. He tries to convince his mother but because of the perception of her own community she couldn’t believe his son.
