Min Khant and Nhar Kyar are best friends in the small village of Chaung Thar. The boys left school to support their family by selling sea creatures to the tourists. In Myanmar, releasing of sea creatures is a common practice to cleanse one's sin and bring good karma. The life and friendship of the boys soon becomes uncertain as Min Khant's family has plans to move to the city of Yangon in hopes to lead a better life.
