Beyond the Border, Behind the Men is a project concerned with expanding the narrative of migrant workers in Singapore.

There are approximately over 110 000 Bangladeshi workers in Singapore, most of them in the construction line.

In July 2012, Joses Kuan, Bernice Wong and me went to Bangladesh to collect the stories of our migrant worker friends. We wanted to delve deeper than what we perceived on the streets, so we headed to their homes to find out more.
