Set in the 2000s, Aqua Man talks about the emotional transformation of a teenager, Junjie, and his religious dilemma of being a gay Christian individual in Singapore.

Junjie finds himself in a twisted fate between his staunch Christian mother and pastor. He was forced into choosing the ideals of living in his mother’s version of a normal man. While he could not meet his mum’s expectations, he was once again invited back to the cold and homophobic atmosphere of society.
