Another Singapore

A short documentary filmed in the lenses of an Ice-Cream man’s son. Ice-Cream Hawkers are a dying trade and it is unique to the hot and constantly humid Singapore. This film revolves around the everyday routines of the father, and some of his personal struggles such as coping with physical pains and emotional sadness of not being able to spend time with his family. This film however, also highlights the optimistic perspective the man has towards his “unglamorous” job, showing a new side to this local gem. To him, he’s not just selling ice-cream, but happiness. He’s not just earning money, but relationships.
