The Samarinda Sarong Tenun is a cultural heritage of the traditional weaving craft of the Bugis tribe from South Sulawesi, which was brought to Samarinda Seberang in the 18th century and is closely related to the history of the establishment of Samarinda City. The more advanced development era, the popularity of the Samarinda sarong weaving is now starting to decline because the demand for the sarong is only used as a sarong. Herlina, a weaving craftsman, tries to innovate sarong weaving into another work that can add to the function of weaving apart from sarong into ready-to-wear clothes. As well as an effort to preserve local culture from generation to generation that has been preserved until now.
