Visual Documentary Project

The Visual Documentary Project was created in 2012, by the Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS), Kyoto University and from 2014, the Japan Foundation Asia Center joined this project as co-organizer to offer a platform to young Southeast Asian filmmakers in the region to express their realities through documentaries and introduce them to a broader audience.

The project is accepting short documentaries from young filmmakers who are citizens of Southeast Asian nations and Japan. Now we are calling for documentaries for Visual Documentary Project 2016 and the submission deadline is September 1, 2016.
