Do you know who Singapore’s third female Olympian is? “When The Stars Align” is a trilogy series of three pioneer sportswomen who defied convention and blazed a trail in the 1950s. They dared to dream, they gave their best, and they seized the opportunity of a lifetime: to represent their nation at the Olympics.

Director's Statement:

I’ve always been inspired by athletes who do whatever it takes to pursue their passion. I was amazed to discover Singapore’s first three female Olympians, and felt that I should document this part of our history. These pioneers did not feel that they deserved to be documented. But I wanted to honour them; to acknowledge and recognise them.
