A gifted medical school student Summer Young fails her test, so she has to take it over. Her professor Will Young asks her to convince John Oldman, who has incurable disease, to come back to the hospital and to continue the therapy. While Summer is trying to take John back, John asks her to look for the spirit of his died wife. In the short seven days of summer, they start a warm but crazy journey together.
