The veil covers the entire body, except the eyes. Some Muslims believe that women are required by Islam to wear the veil, while others believe that wearing the veil is a choice and it is not required by Islam. This ambiguity is a result of different interpretations of a Quranic verse about women covering their bodies. The director created this film as a student at Northwestern University with her peer Shereena.
