The story is about a former war veteran named Rachman (80 years) who still lives up to now, after the post-war independence with life problems and hustle in the big city, he finally had to surrender to the situation to live under poverty until now, hard to find a work with low-ranking military capital without the support of sufficient formal education, makes Rachman very struggling to find a decent job.

Because living in a big city with a large expenditure, meanwhile Rachman only rely on pension payments from a Veteran foundation that is not much, eventually he had to live in a ghetto at petamburan, West Jakarta. In this settlement there are various kinds of people coming from various religions and races mixed in this place, his neighbor Arif (35 years old) who has a daughter named Intan (10 years), they also has the same pitiful conditions as Rachman, Intan no longer in school, her mother died at the time of giving birth, every day she and her friend (Nani - 11 years) stomp around the market becoming a street mucician.

While Arif problems becomes a potential danger because Arif has entered a terrorism organization sought by the police for certain political interests, with brainwash from this organization, Arif have to blow himself up in the market where there’s a lot of innocent people, as a diversion of a major corruption case of a rich man.

Because he still has a conscience, Arif did not dare to carry it out, but because of that failure he became a target to be eliminated by this terrorist organization, because it is considered to have failed and endangered the organization, Bara was sent from the organization to kill Arif.

Arif rushed home and packed his belongings together with Intan to escape from the neighborhood, but unfortunately he saw Bara who was looking for him around the neighborhood, he finally escaped and entered into Rachman’s house, Arif threatened Rachman with a firearm.

The night has come, on that night Arif said the reason why he wanted to do it because the terrorist promise to guarantee his daughter’s future even though Arif had to sacrifice himself to be blown up this morning.

That night Rachman took a rather shocking action that he give all of his retirement savings for Arif and Intan to survive and be able to escape that night to start a brighter new life on the next day, Bara, who finally found out where Arif's hideout in Rachman house, finally tried to threaten Rachman to hand over Arif and Intan who had escaped through the back door at night.
