Nadya Widiatmaja is a female journalist from Indonesia. When her biological grandmother passed on, Nadya found photographs and an old journal belonging to her grandmother. The journal contains the story of the life of her ancestors in Germany until they migrated from Germany in the 19th century.

Before finding those old photos and journal, Nadya never know about the origin of her ancestors. Armed with notes and photos, as well as a little story of her mother, Nadya was intrigued and decided to find out for herself the strong reason for her ancestors' migration from Germany at that time.
