A stubborn old clown, Eli, uses outdated methods to perform for the younger generation. To re-capture his audience, he is forced to become the assistant of a younger magician, Jeremy. Intimidated, Eli tries to sabotage Jeremy in their  performance together, only to be foiled. It takes an almost fatal incident before Eli finally finds the clown that was always in him.
