John Clang is an eminent Singaporean artist and photographer who relocated to New York in the 90s. Despite considering himself an outsider, he is a visionary that continues to push the medium of photography to critical and popular acclaim. An installation of his artwork resides in the permanent collection at the Singapore Art Museum. He is the first photographer to receive the President's Designer of the Year award. Using mixed medium in the form of photos; old footage; interviews and animation, this short documentary is a critical inspection of his life, work and philosophy. It hopes to inject inspiration in those who desire to create.
