Invisible People

Pandemic is nearly a year old and we are ever grateful to our frontliners. but we found behind these frontliners was a whole eco system of support and behind the scenes assistance. We put the spotlight on a first responder to the anxious beginning days of Covid 19. Sherry Soon of BeKind SG was the first to make 7000 care packs to our frontliners when there were only fear and anxiety in those dark early days. But who is Sherry Soon and what makes one man be kind to another?

A Viddsee Original Production

This series was made for StoriesTogether, an initiative that aims to bring hope through films during challenging times and beyond.

As part of this initiative, we’re driving donations to Community Chest, which supports more than 80 social service agencies that work towards empowering the lives of the disadvantaged. Support here.

Director Statement:

After nearly a decade of doing drama and narrative formats, I wanted to explore documentaries and I ventured first into doing three overseas episodes of Extraordinary Prisons (Mandarin) for ThreeSixZero in 2017, Those were shot in Atlanta USA & Palwan Philippines and I caught the bug to non fiction. Since then, I had been researching for a slate of socially responsible documentaries to do and “Invisible People” was one of the first of this slate of what I called “Sustainable Documentaries” - socially responsible, non exploitive shorts that hopefully trigger action. This project is very challenging because of the current Pandemic circumstances which limits the activity of our subject but we are hopeful of a story with a heart.
