A story about love and family, and the sacrifices we make in times of loss, "For Ofelia," takes place in 1960's Philippines, where a rebellious young boy struggles against his mother's obsession with dressing him up as a girl so that he may gain acceptance from the community and the affection of the prettiest girl in school.
