In the past, there are so many mainlanders escaped from the civil war and settled down in Hong Kong. Part of them decided to settle down in Yuen Long Shek Kong Choi Yuen Village.

In October 2009, HKSAR plan to build an emengercy repair station for the upcoming Express Rail Link HK section project in Shek Kong where is nearby the Shek Kong Airfield. There are 150 families rejected and protested to the Government. Mainly of them are farm for a living but after the discussion in the Council, they have to move out before November 2010.

Now, the villager are waiting for the arrangement of Government. They want to keep the life style instead of moving into the public estate.

One of the villager, Chan Shui, decides to keep farming due to the day he must move out.
