In a reality similar to ours, a certain company has secretly commissioned a device which ultimately detects a person’s honesty. You wear them like contact lenses and through this technology you can see if a person is lying or not.

The eyepiece scans the person and collects audio-visual data to determine the honesty in his/her speech. Derek, the head of the Human Relations of the company, is the one in charge of interviewing employees using the contact lenses.

He is a man in his mid 30s and is just about to have his own kid. He loves his pregnant wife and his future son. Enough to be his inspiration to earn a living and work everyday. One afternoon at his workplace he accidentally splashes some warm coffee at his eye area which effectively results to device malfunction. It does not cause Derek any fatal injury but it makes the eyepiece untouchable. It electrocutes him whenever he tries to remove it. The technician advises him to wait for the experts to arrive the next day to be able to safely remove the device. Despite the said defect, its features still work properly.

Derek is then forced to take the device home, wherein through the technology, he also gets to accidentally confront the truth that he is not the father of the child his wife is bearing.
