Arohuai

Amos Wainggai, is a survivor of the boat people from West Papua who spent five days at sea in a traditional outrigger boat before arriving to the far north of Queensland’s Cape York, Australia in January 2006. The political tension between Australia and Indonesia then came up after Australia government granted to them temporary protection visas. This is a story about 30 men, 6 women and 7 children. They are now living in some cities in Australia and hold Australia’s citizenship.
