Nights with Ruby
Raja is at a crossroads in life. Originally from India, he has managed to make a home in Singapore with his wife and daughter, but he’s struggling and untethered. He spends his nights seeing time drift away in the stupors of the city's nightlife. Raja is disillusioned. He’s going nowhere. He’s in a dead-end job and has no idea how to move on with his life. Worst still, the love for his wife is beginning to fray, and with a daughter who spends more time out of the house whilst refusing to speak to him, Raja is stuck.
He spends his free time at night circling the neon-lit streets of Singapore, and on a humid, tropical night, he bumps into Ruby, a sexy, voluptuous but kind bar hostess who manages to engage his attention, but things are not what they seem.
What begins is a lesson in life. Over the course of three random nights, Ruby drags Raja through the dim alleys of Singapore, and with a series of intimate conversations, Raja begins to learn to love life again. He laughs, cries, and opens his heart up again.
