[Ask Me Anything] LULLABY: a film about the plight of an invisible grandma

Hi, my name is Stanley Xu Ruiyang, and I'm the writer and director of the short film LULLABY (搖籃曲). This film was done as part of my assignment during my last year in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, with the support from Honour Singapore.

"LULLABY" is a family drama that takes place in a typical Singaporean family. While the parents are out busy working, the youngest and eldest members of the family are being left alone with feelings of neglect. As time goes by, a special bond is form between the both of them.

Honouring the Invisible People of Singapore, that was the theme given to us for this assignment. To me, sometimes the ones closest to us are the most invisible. I hope that the film will be able to serve as a gentle reminder for all of us to spend more time with our loved ones while we still can.

You can watch the film down below. If you have any questions or feedbacks, feel free to fire off and I'll try to answer them all at my fullest capacity.
