Is Your Film Among Viddsee PH's Top Animation Picks 2020?

We’re pretty sure you’re as excited as we are for 2020 to be over. It’s stranger than fiction to say the least, isn’t it? But before we bid this year goodbye, allow us to feature on Viddsee's homepage the Top 10 animation short films from the Philippines!

We always wonder why we don’t see a lot of animated shorts from the Philippines unlike in other countries such as Singapore and even Indonesia— so we thought of exploring from our storyteller network this genre for Filipinos and the rest of our audience to see.

After we shortlist your film, it will also be programmed and marketed further across our social platforms, including a special premiere on our YouTube channel. You can submit your film until December 31, 2020; 11:59PM Philippine time.

Unsure if your film suits our curator’s pick? Don’t worry, we’re open to anything - the cute, the weird, the scary or even the strange ones are welcome.

1. Click on the link below to head to our Creator portal:
2. For first-time submissions, please create an account first by selecting “Sign Up”.
3. Follow the submission process to upload your film(s).
4. Please indicate the code “ANI2020" in your referral within your submission page. (5. Additional > Under ‘Additional Details’ > ‘Referral Code’)

(a) Do I need to be a filmmaker from a particular country or region to qualify?
For this call fo submission, we review animated films only from the Philippines or a filmmaker based abroad with Filipino roots.

(b) Does my film need to be of a particular genre?
In this instance, we will also review film submissions of mixed genres.

(c) Can I submit more than one film submission?
Yes sure, the important thing is to indicate your referral code, so we know that you’re submitting for this callout.

(d) Should my animated shorts be finished within the year 2020?

Not really. We're excited to curate your film for our yearend picks - no matter when it was made or finished.

(e) What if I don’t get selected into the playlist? Does it mean that it has been rejected?
Not to worry, our curators will still review your submission for the platform curation, and approve if we deem it fit. Having your film approved on the platform means that you’re part of our Viddsee Storyteller Network, and gets you the chance of working closer with us for future project opportunities. You can still qualify for our monthly Viddsee Shortee Award even if your film is not selected for the playlist featuring.

We look forward to your stories!
