Lost To Time Ep 4: Fort Pasir Panjang

Dated back to the 19th Century, Fort Pasir Panjang was one of the coastal artillery forts built by the British to defend the western passageway into Keppel Harbour against piracy and foreign naval powers. It played a significant role in the defence of Singapore during World War II and earlier period of time. In the 1942 Battle of Pasir Panjang, the fort supported the Malay Regiments against the Japanese at Bukit Chandu. Today, it is a popular heritage site and park, attracting visitors interested in exploring many historical relics and natural artefacts.
